Aim of Activity

8 minutes

Practising and developing pronunciation of key language focusing on long vowel sound /ai/ and long vowel sound /ei/.

Steps for Students

Click the link: ACTIVITY 3
Play in 2 teams.
Choose a vowel sound and then match it with words from the puzzle to reveal the picture. Make a sentence with the word.
Discuss what you think the picture is showing.

/ei/- TRAIN, STATION, TAKE, ALWAYS, NAME, TODAY

Group Puzzle

Play with the whole class together or in smaller teams.
Learners choose words from the puzzle which correspond to the selected vowel sound.
If the answer is right, the picture is revealed.
Learners play in two teams to reveal the picture and then guess what the picture depicts.

TIP!

For better practice divide the class into even number of smaller teams. Give each 2 teams a tablet to play pronunciation game against each other.
