Shop till you Drop A2 – Activity 5

Aim of Activity

To help students in integrating speaking skills and life competences, including collaboration, teamwork, negotiation and critical thinking, as well as practising and personalising the target language in the context of designing their own clothing shop window, ultimately aiming to develop their presentation skills.

Steps for Students

  1. For this project, you will be working in small groups.
  2. Your task will be to design a window for your own clothing store.
  3. You need to think of: 
    • the name of your store 
    • at least three outfits to be displayed in the window 
    • what adjectives they are going to use to describe the outfits when you present your window to the rest of the class. 

1. Find two or three pictures of clothing shop windows to show the class.

📍You can use slow image reveal tool to turn this stage of the lesson into a fun activity. 

2. Show the class two or three images of a clothing store window.  e.g.

3. Explain that their task will be to design a window for their own clothing shop.

4. To complete the activity, students have to: 

    • Think of the name for their store 
    • Design the window including at least three outfits 
    • Think of what adjectives they are going to use to describe the outfits when they present their shop windows to the rest of the class.
